Filip Chytil is reportedly dealing with soreness and will be out of the lineup for the Rangers.
According to the New York Post’s Mollie Walker, forward Filip Chytil will be unavailable for the New York Rangers in Game 5 against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Walker reported that Chytil is considered day-to-day and he is now dealing with soreness on top of the illness that caused him to miss Game 4.
Prior to making his return to the lineup in Game 3 of this series, the 24-year-old was absent since November due to a suspected concussion.
During Chytil’s return, he recorded 12:02 minutes of ice time while playing on a line with Jimmy Vesey and Barclay Goodrow.
