
Former New York Rangers forward Derick Brassard has officially announced his retirement from the NHL.
Brassard played in New York a total of four seasons from 2012-2016. Through 254 games with the Rangers, the Quebec native tallied 69 goals, 105 assists and 174 points.

The 36-year-old played 16 seasons in the NHL for a handful of teams including the Rangers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Ottawa Senators, Pittsburgh Penguins, Florida Panthers, Colorado Avalanche, New York Islanders, Arizona Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers and Edmonton Oilers.
In 1013 career games, Brassard produced 215 goals, 330 assists and 545 points.
Brassard had his best years with the Rangers and was even a part of the team that made the Stanley Cup Final in 2014.
