One player who remains unsigned is former New York Rangers forward Jack Roslovic, but that’s not due to a lack of interest.
At around the time of the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline, the Rangers traded for Roslovic from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for a conditional fourth-round pick in 2026.
Through the end of the regular season and the playoffs, Roslovic played a complementary
role for the Rangers.
During the offseason, the Rangers chose not to retain the 28-year-old forward, and he ultimately signed a one-year, $2.8 million contract with the Carolina Hurricanes.
In Carolina, Roslovic thrived as he recorded 22 goals, 17 assists, and 39 points in 81 games while averaging 13:49 minutes.
Now, Roslovic is an attractive option for a team looking for an offensive boost.
According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, there are multiple suitors interested in signing Roslovic, including over five teams reportedly vying for his services.
“He’s the best available player remaining. And, obviously, he hasn’t found anything he 100 percent likes. But there are definitely a few teams poking around there. I’ve heard five or six teams. So, he needs to get to something he feels comfortable with,” Friedman said.
The Rangers' Trio That Will Dictate The Team's Success
The New York Rangers’ potential line of Artemi Panarin, Vincent Trocheck, and Alexis Lafrenière can make or break how productive their offense is this upcoming season.
Roslovic has also received multiple offers from teams in Russia’s KHL, per Dylan Griffing of EliteProspects.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are a team that has been linked to Roslovic, while a reunion with the Hurricanes is also not out of the picture.
