New York Rangers icon Henrik Lundqvist was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame over the weekend with his family and friends in attendance.

"The King" provided an amazing speech at the ceremony in Toronto, Canada as he was enshrined into the cathedral of hockey.

Lundqvist changed the culture of the New York Rangers franchise when he arrived from Sweden in 2005. He was selected in the 7th round of the 2000 NHL draft and rose to stardom on Broadway despite the odds. He played his entire 15-year career in a blue sweater, and his hard work and strive for excellence dragged the club back into the spotlight following a 7-year playoff drought.

The Rangers qualified for the playoffs 12 times during his reign, reaching the Stanley Cup Final in 2014. He had his number 30 retired in January 2022.

He holds a plethora of club records and has won numerous accolades, winning the Vezina Trophy in 2012, and the Rangers MVP award 8 times. He is the all-time winningest European-born goaltender, is the only goaltender to win 20 games in 13 consecutive seasons, and won Olympic Gold in 2006.

He now works as an on-air talent for MSG Network and TNT and serves as an ambassador for Madison Square Garden. He continues his humanitarian efforts with the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a hallmark of his community outreach.

    Congratulations to Henrik.
