It's two days before we'll have the pleasure to see one of the most intense, thrilling Stanley Cup Final rounds of all-time.

You can bet that the Rangers high command of Chris Drury and Mike Sullivan will have their Argus eyes on the Stanley Cup tournament.

The following are some of the game-turning things and players they'll be focusing on starting in Edmonton:

What To Make Of The Oilers' Triumph And The Stars' Failure What To Make Of The Oilers' Triumph And The Stars' Failure 1. The Oilers are gaining much more respect the second time around. One reason is the pride that Edmonton has taken in the defensive side of the game.

COREY PERRY: There are precious few 40-year-olds who still have the wheels and heart to not only keep up with the kids but score goals and disturb the opposition into distraction. There's nobody quite like Perry in the Rangers lineup but they sure could use one next season.

BRAD MARCHAND: The ex-Bruin is just a couple of years younger than Perry but he hasn't lost a step either. Looking over the Blueshirt roster, I can see Will Cuylle possibly learning that role: combining tangible offense with persistent nastiness.

RYAN NUGENT-HOPKINS: A consistently steady left wing, RNH is a lifetime Oiler who gets it. His Rangers counterpart – age-wise and team-wise – is Chris Kreider. But since our Blueshirt buddy is on the trading block, Drury needs to find a Nugent-Hopkins type over the summer.

SAM BENNETT: The Panthers' answer to Tom Wilson – only better – free agent-to-be Bennett has emerged as the best, toughest power forward in the league. He'd look great in a New York uniform but wants to remain in Florida so that's that.

EVANDER KANE: Recovered from injury, Puck's Bad B oy has evolved into a surprise scoring asset for coach Kris Knoblauch. The Rangers Vinny Trocheck plays the Kane kind of game; but only when the spirit moves him!

GUSTAV FORSLING: The Cats defender has risen to the top of Florida's blue line corps. The Rangers K'Andre Miller was targeted to keep improving like Forsling but it hasn't happened. KAM is ready to be dealt.

There's no point discussing Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. In The Maven's dreams, the Rangers answer would be Artemi Panarin and Mika Zibanejad but that dream turned into a nightmare alley.
