The New York Rangers are back in action against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday.
Peter Laviolette confirmed that Igor Shesterkin will start in net for the Rangers as he’s officially off of the injury list.
Shesterkin missed one game before the 4 Nations Face-Off break with an apparent upper-body injury and he was eased back in this week at practice.
Meanwhile, Laviolette made clear that all Rangers players who participated in the 4 Nations Face-Off will play against the Sabres.
J.T. Miller, Vincent Trocheck, Adam Fox and Chris Kreider played on Thursday night for Team USA in their cruising overtime defeat against Team Canada.
There were some concerns about Trocheck’s health after a report came out indicating he had broken his finger in this recent tournament.
Regardless if he did break his finger or not, Trocheck isn't expected to miss any time as of now.
