J.T. Miller brushed off a question about playing against Elias Pettersson at the 4 Nations Face-Off.

The 4 Nations Face-Off will mark the first time J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson play against each other since everything went down.

By now, the reported rift between Miller and Pettersson is well-known among people in the NHL community.

Rumors about a feud linking these two players circulated around the Vancouver Canucks for months until the Canucks ultimately traded Miller to the New York Rangers.

Miller strongly feels that this rift is mostly media-driven as he’s not focused on his individual matchup against Pettersson.

“It’s definitely something that you guys will build up for sure,” Miller told the media about his feud and upcoming matchup against Pettersson. “It’s more exciting for you guys, but it’s just another game for us.”

This soap opera is already behind Miller now that he’s in New York, but Team USA’s game against Team Sweden could serve as the final chapter to the rift that broke up the Canucks.
