J.T. Miller expressed his gratitude about how he was welcomed back to New York with open arms.
It’s been a long couple of months for J.T. Miller, but the veteran forward is happy it’s all over.
Between the drama and trade rumors involving his name, Miller went through a lot of scrutiny this season with the Vancouver Canucks.
Vancouver ultimately traded Miller to the Rangers and he couldn’t be any happier with how things have gone thus far in The Big Apple.
“Tons of friends around the area,” Miller said. “The welcoming I got coming back was astounding. Just so much support for my family and I feel crazy lucky everything worked out the way it did.”
The 31-year-old forward has moved in with his childhood best friend and newest teammate Vincent Trocheck as he settles in.
On the ice, the Rangers have gotten everything they expected out of Miller. He’s brought a physical presence to the team and has slotted in as New York’s first-line center.
In five games with the Blueshirts, Miller has recorded two goals, two assists and four points while averaging 18:02 minutes.
