J.T. Miller scored a goal in his first game with the Rangers since being traded.

J.T. Miller is making an immediate impact with the New York Rangers.

In his first game with the Rangers after being traded from the Vancouver Canucks less than 24 hours ago, Miller scored a goal as he made his presence known.

The 31-year-old forward may have arrived at the team hotel in Boston at around 4 AM this morning, but he’s just grateful to be wearing a Rangers jersey again.

“I’m definitely excited,” Miller said about his emotions coming back to New York, “It’s been a long two days, but it’s really special putting this jersey back on. Obviously felt good to get one, but kind of numb right now, so just going to try to enjoy it.”

It’s been a difficult few months for Miller as rumors of a reported feud between himself and Elias Pettersson have been dominating the hockey headlines in Vancouver.

Miller still expressed his gratitude for the Canucks organization.

“I have no disrespect toward the Vancouver Canucks organization,” Miller said. “They’ve given me absolutely everything. The support I’ve had over this whole year, it’s been a long year and an opportunity came up where I could be a Ranger again and obviously it’s a special thing for my family and I, so we are truly excited.”

Miller has slotted on a line alongside Artemi Panarin and Mika Zibanejad.
