The NHL Network came out with the Top 20 Centers Right Now list, and it did not include J.T. Miller.

Just one year ago, Miller ranked 11th on this exact list after a season with the Vancouver Canucks where he recorded 37 goals, 66 assists, and 103 points.

Times have changed for Miller in a lot of ways.

After months of outside noise and turmoil regarding a reported feud between Miller and Elias Pettersson, the Canucks traded Miller to the New York Rangers in January.

While Miller had a productive 2024-25 campaign, posting 22 goals, 48 assists, and 70 points, his numbers certainly took a dip.

It’s not impossible for Miller to reach the 100-point milestone again.

The Rangers traded for him to not only bring an element of toughness, but also to be a vocal point of the team’s offense, so expect Miller to play an even bigger role this upcoming season.

Mika Zibanejad was also not on this list despite being ranked as the 19th-best center last year, while Vincent Trocheck was nowhere to be found on the rankings either.
