The New York Rangers have called Jonny Brodzinski up from the Hartford Wolf. This move is likely related to Filip Chytil's upper-body injury

The organization will have less than 10,000$ remaining in cap space from the move. Brodzinski's contract tacks $762,000 onto the payroll, $771,500 was the remaining space before this transaction (reported by Vince Mercagliano/ USA Today).

There was no briefing today as to what Adam Fox or Filip Chytil's recovery timeline will be. Both skaters did not return to last night's game.

The Rangers may slot Zac Jones into the lineup if  Adam Fox can't go tomorrow. They may shuffle the deck to fit Jones in because the team won't have enough cap space to add another defender to the A team via call-up.

As for the forward group, it's a bit of a head-scratcher. Brodzinski has proven to be a  bottom-six NHL skater in the past, but Tyler Pitlick has been a healthy scratch since opening night and has skated on the practice squad for many weeks now. That could have saved the team the little space it had to call up another player.

Updates will follow when the health of Filip Chytil and Adam Fox are reported. This information will likely be available tomorrow, November 4th.
