Matt Rempe isn’t afraid to hit anybody and that includes Alex Ovechkin.

During the New York Rangers’ game against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night, Rempe and Wilson were seen talking with one another in a somewhat heated discussion.

According to Larry Brooks of The New York Post, here’s how the conversation went:

“He was yelling at me, ‘Don’t hit Ovie! Don’t do that to Ovie! Don’t hit Ovie!’ ” Rempe said. “I told him I’d hit anyone I want.”

After the game, Wilson made clear that he respects Rempe and his unique style of play while hinting what the future may hold for these two enforcers.

“He bumped into O a couple times, which I just told him, 'Anybody else but him.' I don’t like it when guys are bumping into O. He can handle himself, he’s an absolute machine," Wilson said.

“I like Rempe’s game. He's come in, he’s worked really hard, he’s made a lot of noise," Wilson said. “He’s a big fella, we’re gonna bump into each other a few more times here down the road here.”

Who knows, maybe one day we’ll see a Rempe Vs. Wilson fight.
