Mika Zibanejad is set to represent his home country of Sweden at the 4-Nations Face-Off starting on Feb. 12.

Zibanejad is one of six Rangers players that will participate in this upcoming tournament with Adam Fox, Chris Kreider, Vincent Trocheck, J.T. Miller and Urho Vaakanainen all slated to play for their respective countries.

For Zibanejad, it is special to have the opportunity to put on the Sweden jersey and bleed his country’s colors.

“It’s a huge honor obviously,” Zibanejad said. “Very excited to get there… Knowing what’s around the corner, it’s exciting for sure.”

The 31-year-old forward won a gold medal with Sweden during the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship and 2018 Ice Hockey World Championships.

Zibanejad is slotted to play on Sweden's first line alongside William Nylander and Rickard Rakell.

This season with the Rangers, Zibanejad has recorded 11 goals, 26 assists and 37 points in 55 games while averaging 18:22 minutes.
