    Rangers Sign Defenseman Victor Mancini to Two-Year, Entry-Level Contract

    The Rangers have agreed to terms with 2022 draft pick Victor Mancini on a two-year, entry-level contract.

    The New York Rangers signed 21-year-old, right-shot defenseman Victor Mancini to a two-year, entry-level contract on Tuesday morning:

    The Rangers drafted Mancini, a Michigan native, in the fifth round, 159th overall, of the 2022 NHL Draft.

    Mancini played three years in the NCAA at the University of Nebraska-Omaha; he just finished his junior season, where he recorded 10 points, with four goals and six assists in 40 games.

    During his three seasons at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, he put up 23 points, notching four goals and 19 assists.

    As a Sophomore in the 2022-2023 NCAA season, Mancini was named NCHC Academic All-Conference and a Distinguished Scholar.

    Mancini first attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha as a 19-year-old freshman in 2021-2022. 

    Prior to that, he played overseas in Sweden for two years and one season in the USHL with the Green Bay Gamblers.
