Matt Rempe's presence back in the lineup has been felt in a positive way for the Rangers.

Breaking Down All The Latest New York Rangers' Trade Rumors

On top of playing a cleaner game, Rempe is bringing some much-needed energy to the New York Rangers.

After coming back from his eight-game suspension, Rempe has played in each of the last three games and there’s a reason for that.

The Blueshirts are thriving with Rempe in the lineup as Peter Laviolette is starting to trust the 22-year-old forward more and more.

Sam Carrick feels that Rempe’s physical style is impacting the way opposing defenders approach playing against the skating giant.

“He always brings that physical presence,” Carrick said about Rempe. “He is looking to get in on the forecheck. You can see it, when we do dump it into his corner, a lot of their defensemen seem to think twice about getting that puck. That’s good for sure. It adds a lot of space for us out there and it’s good for the team.”

Rempe has recorded over six minutes in each of his appearances since returning to the lineup, which doesn't seem like a lot, but for the young enforcer, it’s certainly an increase.

There is a lot to like about Rempe’s game right now and if he continues to mature as a player, he could very well secure himself a spot in the lineup permanently.
