Peter Laviolette was honest when talking about the competitiveness of the 4 Nations Face-Off.
The New York Rangers may be on a break, but Peter Laviolette is still watching the 4 Nations Face-Off.
The 4 Nations Face-Off has taken over the hockey world as all eyes are glued to this best-on-best tournament.
Laviolette has been impressed with the competitive and physical play, but he’s not surprised by it.
“It’s like that all the time in those tournaments,” Laviolette said. “You get involved in the Olympics, you get involved in World Cups, it elevates when you play for your country. My recollection is it always gets up there. Certainly the skill, the physicality, it’s on display.”
Adam Fox, Vincent Trocheck, J.T. Miller, Chris Kreider, Mika Zibanejad and Urho Vaakanainen all represented their respective countries in this tournament.
Team USA will take on Team Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off championship game on Thursday night.
