Peter Laviolette offered a small update on the injury status of Filip Chytil following the New York Rangers’ 3-2 win over the San Jose Sharks.
Chytil collided with K’Andre Miller during last night’s game and was slow to get up, looking wobbly before making his way to the bench.
While the 24-year-old forward came back briefly, he did not return in the third period and was ruled out with an upper-body injury.
When asked about Chytil, Laviolette didn’t provide much information, although he gave everyone a small hint on his timetable.
“He’s day-to-day, being evaluated,” Laviolette said.
The Rangers practice on Saturday, so that will be when we really find out about Chytil’s current injury status.
