After a five-month wait, New York Rangers' forward Filip Chytil returned to practice with the team on Friday.

The Rangers forward initially left the Rangers' lineup on Nov. 2 with an upper-body injury. He made progress following the injury and did skate with the team back in January, but he suffered a setback that, presumably, kept him out for the season.

Per the New York Post's Mollie Walker, he had previously been working out on his own and was cleared to return to the ice. However, there is no timetable for his return to the lineup, as the Rangers won't rush him back.

With Chytil skating in a contact sweater, it is possible he could make a return should the team make a deep run in the playoffs. However, with no timeline, it's unknown how likely it will be.

The Rangers return to action on Saturday against the New York Islanders at Madison Square Garden. Puck drop is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
