The New York Rangers have recalled Victor Mancini from the Hartford Wolf Pack of The American Hockey League.
Mancini started the season with the Rangers, but was sent down to Hartford in order to further his development.
The Rangers have sent down Jake Leschyshyn who did not play in his short stint with the Blueshirts
It’s puzzling why the team would want to carry eight defensemen unless an injury was sustained on Thursday night that we are still unaware of.
Sending down Leschyshyn leaves both Mancini and Chad Ruhwedel on the roster.
The 22-year-old played a total of three games with the Wolf Pack as he tallied one goal through his short stint.
There is still a lot to sort out, but Mancini will return to the Rangers.
