Adam Fox opened up about the overall mood inside the Rangers' locker room.

There has been a lot of trade talk revolving around the New York Rangers, which has led to some speculation about the state of the team’s locker room and the disconnect going on behind the scenes.

Chris Kreider has used the words frustration, angst and tension when talking about the Rangers’ struggles as well as the overall vibe of the team.

“There's a lot of tension in the room, there's something off in the room.” Larry Brooks said of the New York Post said. “There's something off on the ice. There's something off in the mix…”

However, through all of the noise, the Rangers are sticking together. Players are attempting to block off the outside rumors and they are all still one big family even if it does not seem like it at times.

“You hear things, I don’t think we cautiously let it get in here,” Adam Fox said. “We just try to come in every day and play good hockey, sometimes we don’t.

“We’ve built a comradery in here where we all have each other’s backs. I thought that last game really exemplified it with standing up for each other and everything. That’s just part of the territory, you’re going to have outside noise. It’s up to us to not let that creep in.

While it hasn’t been perfect, the Rangers have played with more passion and urgency over the past two games and that’s at least a good sign.

The Rangers also had a practice on Tuesday that was highly spirited as players shared laughs and the mood was a lot more positive and light given what this team is currently going through.

With a few days off before their next game on Friday, members of the organization will use this time to try and get back on track and move forward.
