While we know the Rangers will play on Saturday, we are still waiting for the release of the remainder of the NHL playoff schedule.

While the New York Rangers prep for the playoffs, for now, planning ends with Game One versus the Washington Capitals, at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

York Rangers center Vincent Trocheck (16) skates in on Washington Capitals goaltender Charlie Lindgren (79) as Capitals defenseman Martin Fehervary (42) defends in the second period at Capital One Arena.

There Blueshirts along with the other 15 playoff teams are waiting for the full release of the First Round schedule.

Wednesday, the NHL announced the first set of games for the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Customarily, the NHL waits for the regular season to end before releasing the full slate of games from the initial round of playoffs series. So the expectation is that tonight, we should see the full schedule released by the NHL.

Besides wondering when the games will be played, it will be interesting to see if there are back to back games – – and if, so when. Particularly for those teams that don't sport a 1 and 1A in net.
