New York Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren left Friday's contest against the Vegas Golden Knights in the first period and did not return.

New York Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren absorbed a hit from Keegan Kolesar in the first period against the Vegas Golden Knights.

He will not return for the rest of the game with an upper-body injury.

Lindgren was skating with Braden Schneider a part of the team's new defensive pairs.

The 25-year-old rearguard immediately headed to the bench hunched over, and then left the ice and headed toward the Rangers locker room.
