Ryan Lindgren missed his third consecutive practice for the Rangers due to maintenance issues, which puts his status in question.

New York Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren missed his third consecutive practice on Tuesday.

Dan Rosen of NHL.com reported that Lindgren missed Tuesday’s practice due to maintenance issues.

It’s unclear if Lindgren sustained any sort of injury or if he is just resting prior to Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Florida Panthers on Wednesday night.

The 26-year-old played 76 games for the Rangers through the regular season where he had three goals, 14 assists and 17 points.

Over these playoffs, Lindgren has been averaging 20:36 minutes pergame. He serves a major role as one of the team’s top blueliners, so the loss of Lindgren would certainly be significant.

Filip Chytil and Blake Wheeler, who were both injured for large parts of the regular season and playoffs, have been practicing over the past couple of days with Chytil trending on making a return for Game 1.
