Every week, The Maven opens his column for questions about the Blueshirts. The following gem comes via Ren Simpson of Queens.

It's Friday, folks, and you know what that means; it's Ask The Maven time. Today's question comes from Ren Simpson of Queens. (Take it away, Ren:)

THE RANGERS HAVE TWO GAMES REMAINING BEFORE THE BREAK. IF THEY WIN BOTH, SHOULD THEY PUT A "STOP" UP AND NOT MAKE ANY MORE TRADES?

The Maven's reply: On the assumption that they win those games, it would make their W streak four in a row. Those victories will all have come since J.T. Miller joined a team that now is well stabilized. My advice is not to disrupt a winner. If this lineup now includes a fourth line that is better than ever this season.

Furthermore, "Core" players such as Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider appear to have found their "second wind" and are in a winning groove.

There are, however, two obstacles – Pittsburgh and Columbus!
