    1. Here's what you gotta like about hockey fights; they're inevitable, pull you out of your seat, the union okays them, AND we can't wait for the Matt Rempe-Tom Wilson main-eventer. (Perhaps even tonight.)

    2.  Spencer Carbery, the guy who runs the Capitals bench, is better than the one behind the Blueshirts log. (That's why Washington dumped Peter Laviolette in the first place; he decapped the Caps.)

    3. Having watched Maurice Richard for years, I assure you that Alex Ovechkin is the closest modern thing to the rambunctious Rocket. (One big difference: Rocket had to fight more than Ovie.)

    4. This is a quote from Bluecollar Blueshirts boss Sean McCaffrey: "J.T. Miller may single handedly drag the Rangers into the postseason himself." (Sean is allowed!)

    5. Maven's rebuttal: "It will be the twin goaltenders; plus Zac Jones, Magical Mika Zibanijad, Brett Berard, K'Andre Miller and The Twin Wills – Cuylle and Borgen. (With a little help from Cal de Haan.)

    6. Matt Rempe actually does a fair amount of subtle – yeah, subtle – things that go unnoticed. Against the Isles he forced an offside that cost the Visitors the first goal. (It was a turning point.)

    7. That the Blueshirts are gonna dump Chris Kreider is fossil news. Chris Drury made that clear last Fall. (But who'll be suckered into taking Reilly Smith off Drury's hands?)

    8. A banner-hanging for "Sam Rosen Night" is fine and dandy. But how come no banner for Hall of Famer & one of the greatest all-time Rangers, Frank Boucher?  (Boosh not only starred for the first Two Cup-winners but coached the 1940 champs. Not deserving?????)

    9. One of the reasons why the Blueshirts have a fine chance to make the playoffs is that most of us folks forget that IT'S A MARATHON, NOT A SPRINT! (Except for Ovie; it's a crusade.)

    10. People I Miss Department: John Davidson, Brad Park, Darius Kaspairitis, Ron Greschner, Carol Alt, Jim Ramsay, Pete Stemkowski, Sean Avery, Michael Cosby, Phil Esposito, Mike Richter, Mike Keenan. (And, of course,  Mark Messier.)
