J.T. Miller seemed happy to be back with the Rangers just one day after being traded from the Canucks.

Breaking Down All The Latest New York Rangers' Trade Rumors

J.T. Miller wasted no time making his presence known with the New York Rangers.

Less than 24 hours after being traded, Miller scored two goals during the Rangers’ 6-3 loss to the Boston Bruins on Saturday afternoon.

Miller started his career in New York and now he’s back in The Big Apple, which he couldn’t be any happier about.

The 31-year-old forward believes in this team’s potential and is confident they could work their way back into the playoffs.

“I would say it took a team effort to find a different place but obviously New York is a special place and couldn’t be happier to be here now,” Miller said. “Just for my family, even outside of hockey, there, there were 1,000 reasons to want to come here with the hockey team that has been one of the best teams in the league for three or four years in a row. I’m excited to be a part of it, trying to get back into the playoff picture.”

It took no time at all for Peter Laviolette to insert Miller into a prominent role. He recorded 18:48 minutes and played on the team’s first power play unit.

For the majority of the afternoon, Miller served as the center on a line with Artemi Panarin and Mika Zibanejad.

Miller should only continue to see his usage increase as he continues to get more comfortable with his new team.
