Three New York Rangers prospects are set to take center stage at the 2025 World Junior Ice Hockey Championship.
Gabe Perreault not only is on the U.S. National Junior Team, but he'll serve as an assistant captain.
The Rangers selected Perreault with the 23rd overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft and he continues to rise up the ranks of the NHL’s best prospects.
At Boston College last season, the 19-year-old forward recorded 19 goals, 41 assists and 60 points in 36 games. This year, Perreault has tallied seven goals, 16 assists and 23 points in 16 games.
Defenseman Drew Fortescue will also play for Team USA.
Fortescue was selected by the Rangers in the third round back in 2023 and actually is with Perreault at Boston College.
In his freshman season, the 19-year-old played 40 games and posted a total of four goals, four assists and eight points.
Rico Gredig, a sixth-round pick for the Rangers in 2024, will represent Switzerland as he’s set to showcase his skills to the rest of the world.
The 19-year-old forward currently plays for HC Davos, a professional Swiss ice hockey club based in Davos, Switzerland.
He’s recorded two goals, two assists and four points in 27 games this season.
The World Junior Championship will take place from Dec. 26, 2024-Jan. 5, 2025, in Ottawa, Ontario.
