    It's Friday which means it's "Ask The Maven Time." Today's question is from Leander Swift of Long Island:

    I WAS BROUGHT UP TO BELIEVE 'IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT.' IN THAT CASE WHY SHOULD THE RANGERS MAKE A TRADE?

    The Maven Responds: Heading into last night's game at The Garden against Philly, the Blueshirts were on a gratifying roll. Plus, the 6-1 win underlined the point. They are hot. That, however, does not mean that GM Chris Drury is satisfied with his lineup.

    Of particular concerns are:

    1. Center. It needs strengthening.

    2. Filip Chytil. As effective as he's been, Chytil's next concussion could be his last; and that makes him a dubious trade item;

    3. While the defense has been fortified by the addition of Will Borgen, it still is questionable in spots and may need work.

    K'Andre is 50 percent undependable and should be trade bait. The variables are many and that's why Drury gets big dough!
