Urho Vaakanainen is expected to miss his second consecutive game for the New York Rangers with an illness.
With Vaakanainen recently being named to Team Finland for the 4-Nations Face-Off, fans may be wondering if this apparent illness will impact his status for the upcoming tournament.
However, it should not be a concern as Peter Laviolette seemed pretty confident about Vaakanainen playing in the 4-Nations Face-Off.
“I don’t think so, no,” Laviolette said about if this illness will keep Vaakanainen out of the 4-Nations Face-Off.
The 26-year-old was a late addition for Finland, only being added to the team after Miro Heiskanen’s injury.
Since being traded from the Anaheim Ducks to the Rangers, Vaakanainen has recorded five points in 22 games while averaging 15:25 minutes.
