Vincent Trocheck was upset to hear the rumors regrading the players' frustration directed at Chris Drury.

Vincent Trocheck addressed the reported closed-door meeting that occurred on Sunday night following the New York Rangers’ 3-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues.

When reporting about the closed-door meeting, ESPN’s Emily Kaplan said that a lot of players were super frustrated toward Rangers general manager Chris Drury, basically insinuating that Drury was a point of contention during this meeting.

Trocheck denied any rumors that Drury was complained about amongst all of the players and he elaborated that conversations had to do with their play.

“When we have closed-door meetings in here, it’s about us,” Trocheck said via Mollie Walker of The New York Post. “It’s about what we can do. Obviously, we’re in a little bit of a hole right now, and it’s about what we can do to get out of it. It has nothing to do with management. They do their job.”

“Chris is doing his job to try to put the best players on the ice to succeed. We are those players, and we have to go out there and perform. Do we what can to succeed. I just wanted to clear the air on that. Obviously there’s a lot of stuff circulating our team right now and when I see something like that, I don’t know where it even comes from. That kind of frustrated me.”

Every day there seem to be new reports either regarding trade rumors or the tension within the team, something that clearly is taking a toll on the Rangers.

Some rumors are true while others are not, but it’s frustrating for players to be forced to hear it every day, which distracts them from just focusing on their game.

There is a lot of noise surrounding the Rangers and the only way for it to all go away is if they get out of this funk and start winning again.
