Analyzing the Rangers' ugly victory over the Canadiens on Saturday afternoon.

There are nights and days when a Blueshirt game can be divided into The Good, The Bad and The Ugly:
Saturday afternoon at The Garden with Montreal in town was just that kind of day. Visiting Floridian – NHL correspondent – Big Al Greenberg and my grandson Ariel Fischler, who helped on this missive will attest to that.
* GOALTENDING: "Jonathan Quick was not too shabby," Ariel recalls. "He made the big saves when they mattered."
* POWER PLAY: "Three PP goals is good news," adds Greenberg, "and they broke the five-game losing streak."
* SLUMP BUSTERS: Both Mika Zibanejad and Vincent Trocheck showed up for a change with goals.
* LUCKY: Lady Luck showed up at the end when the Habs got a dumber-than-dumb double penalty; and Kaapo Kakko got the winner. That also improved KK's trade possibilities.
* BARELY WON: Montreal is the NHL's worst team and yet Peter Laviolette's dear boys almost blew it and needed a late power play to squeeze out the W.
* LEAD BLOWING: The Rangers had a two-goal lead in the third vs. a team that was 0-0-9 when trailing after two.
* SAGGING END: Late in the third period the Blueshirts looked as if they had just finished the L.A. to Staten Island Marathon.
THE UGLY: Although the Rangers won the game, they played like losers!
