New York, NY -- Brennan Othmann, the New York Rangers 16th overall pick at the 2021 NHL Draft, has been recalled from Hartford of the American Hockey League with Tyler Pitlick out week-to-week.

The highly touted prospect will debut Thursday night against Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks at Madison Square Garden.
The Toronto native, who turns 22 on Friday, has recorded nine goals and 23 points in 24 games for Hartford this season.
The Rangers have gone to the Wolf Pack well four times now this season, as Othmann will join former teammate and long-term call-up Jonny Brodzinski, with brief stints from Adam Edstrom and Louis Domingue.
Othmann had a strong showing during training camp and preseason but ultimately didn't make the roster.
Here's what Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette had to say about Othmann during preseason:
Othmann is in his first year of professional hockey after a four-year OHL career split between the Flint Firebirds and the Peterborough Petes.
