J.T. Miller and Mike Sullivan might be a match made in heaven.

Sullivan will officially be the New York Rangers’ 38th head coach and there’s no one seemingly more happy about that than Miller.

Miller was with the Rangers back when Sullivan was an assistant coach under John Tortorella and there’s one thing he remembers most about the Blueshirts coach.

"I remember when I needed a straight answer, he's the guy," Miller said, via NHL.com. "It's a hard game to give those answers sometimes. He's been very straightforward with me."

The 32-year-old forward is a player who’s brutally honest and just a straight-up kind of person and based on Miller’s description, Sullivan shares those same traits.

"He's a great person," Miller said. "I think it's obviously a little looser there than it would be over an 82-game schedule, but he's a great guy. I haven't heard a single bad thing about him. On the coaching front, I just have the utmost respect for him, his resume, his career and what he's been able to accomplish.

"I'm really looking forward to working with him. I have so much respect for what he's done in this game. I think it'll be a good fit."

Sullivan also coached Miller at the 4 Nations Face-Off a few months back.
