This comes after Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported the Rangers have made it very clear they are interested in making moves and shaking up their roster with Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba specifically being indicated, although other options will be considered. Despite rumors swirling that the Rangers would trade Kakko over the offseason, he ultimately signed a one-year, $2.4 million contract extension to remain in New York.
