He would score again off the rush as the Rangers couldn't stop the bleeding off rush, both goals assisted by his two linemates Robert Thomas and former New York Ranger Pavel Buchnevich. The Rangers would march to the penalty box to open the second period, taking three penalties through the first nine minutes of the middle frame. Brandon Saad would capitalize on the third Blues powerplay, besting Shesterkin to take a two-goal lead.
