The Rangers have lost three straight and are 1-3-1 in their last five games. They outshot the Blues 42 to 20 tonight.

    Here’s how it happened:

Adam Fox opened the scoring 1:51 into the contest off of a great effort from Barclay Goodrow and Ryan Lindgren. Fox created the play to score his fifth of the season and his second in the last three games.

Jordan Kyrou would beat Shesterkin clean on a wrister from the top of the circle to tie the game up at the 4:02 mark.

He would score again off the rush as the Rangers couldn't stop the bleeding off rush, both goals assisted by his two linemates Robert Thomas and former New York Ranger Pavel Buchnevich.

The Rangers would march to the penalty box to open the second period, taking three penalties through the first nine minutes of the middle frame.

Brandon Saad would capitalize on the third Blues powerplay, besting Shesterkin to take a two-goal lead.

The Rangers finished the period up 27-15 in shots on goal, with Alexis Lafreniere, Chris Kreider, and Artemi Panarin all having grade-A opportunities to no avail.

Kyrou would finish off the hat trick with his seventh shot of the night at 7:01 into the third period. Nick Leddy got a stick on a Zac Jones pass, springing Kyrou ahead for the breakaway.

Thomas slashed Will Cuylle which afforded the Rangers a power play opportunity. Vincent Trocheck scored to cut the lead.

Buchnevich would seal the victory for the Blues with an empty net goal to finish the night with three points.

Up Next: The Rangers play a back-to-back set against the Washington Capitals on Saturday and Sunday.
