Frost has been a healthy scratch since October 14.

The Philadelphia Flyers had a rough outing Saturday afternoon against the Anaheim Ducks, falling by a score of 7-4 on home ice. Now, they have an opportunity to bounce back.

The Flyers take on the Carolina Hurricanes Monday night at Wells Fargo Center. The Hurricanes, 5-4-0 on the season, are coming off a 3-0 shutout win over the San Jose Sharks. Teuvo Teravainen netted a hat trick in the tilt.

Flyers head coach John Tortorella said after Saturday's game that he expects his team to be ready to battle against the Hurricanes. They'll have their hands full, but they've already gone toe to toe with some of the NHL's top dogs to start the season.

    How to watch

    When: 7 p.m. ET
    Where: Wells Fargo Center
    Radio: 97.5 The Fanatic
    TV: NBC Sports Philadelphia

    What to watch

    1. After being a healthy scratch for each of the Flyers' last six games, forward Morgan Frost is set to make his long-awaited return. Ryan Poehling will be the healthy scratch with Frost reentering the lineup. Tortorella told the media Monday that Frost will be "put in an offensive role" against Carolina, so don't be surprised if Frost earns time on the power play.

    2. Friday, Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov appeared in his first game since undergoing reconstructive surgery on his right ACL in March. He only saw 13:40 of ice time in his season debut, but remains one of the Hurricanes' top scorers, even if he still needs to knock off some rust.

    3. To say Travis Konecny has started the season off hot would be an understatement. The 26-year-old is averaging a goal per game and leads the Flyers with 11 points on the campaign. He was particularly hard on himself Saturday after turning the puck over on a penalty kill that directly led to a Ducks goal, but it would be hardly surprising for him to bounce back with a stellar performance against the Hurricanes.
