These Flyers are continuing to create chatter in the rumor mill.

As Denver Barkey heads back to the London Knights after spending the last couple of months watching the Philadelphia Flyers' training camp from the sidelines, he reflects on his recovery from illness and coming back a stronger player than before.

The Philadelphia Flyers is a team to watch as we continue to get closer to the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline. With the Flyers rebuilding and not holding a playoff spot, some of their players have naturally come up in the rumor mill.

This is only continuing to be the case now with the trade deadline less than two months. TSN released their first Trade Bait board of the season, and Flyers forward Scott Laughton and defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen made the cut.

Laughton, who secured the No. 8 spot on TSN's list, has been talked about often as a trade candidate. The 30-year-old center has generated interest, and it is not surprising when noting that he is a gritty forward who contributes offensively and plays a solid defensive game.

Laughton also stands out as an excellent trade target for contenders because he has an affordable $3 million cap hit until the end of next season. In 44 games this season, he has nine goals, 23 points, and 102 hits.

Ristolainen, on the other hand, was ranked at the No. 18 spot on TSN's board. The right-shot defender is no stranger to the rumor mill, as he was a prime trade candidate nearing last year's deadline before getting injured. Now that he is healthy and having a solid year, he should have suitors again this season.

Teams looking for a big right-shot defenseman who can play in the top four and kill penalties will likely have Ristolainen on their radar. In 44 games this season, the 6-foot-4 blueliner has one goal, 12 points, 62 blocks, and 72 hits.
