These two Flyers have been nice surprises during the early stages of the playoffs.

The Philadelphia Flyers have a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Pittsburgh Penguins in their first round series. With this, the Flyers just need one more win to advance to the second round.

The Flyers' top stars have certainly been a reason for their strong start to the playoffs. However, they have also gotten some solid contributions from two of their depth players.

Due to this, let's look at two Flyers who have been nice surprises early on this postseason.

Noah Juulsen

Juulsen is a defensive defenseman known for his physical play, but he has been contributing some offense early on this postseason. In Game 3 against the Penguins, the right-shot blueliner recorded two assists. The Flyers will be hoping for him to continue to set up his teammates from the backend as the playoffs roll on.

Garnet Hathaway

Hathaway had a big game for the Flyers in Game 2 against the Penguins, as he recorded a goal and an assist. When noting that Hathaway had just one goal and two assists in 66 regular-season games this season for the Flyers, him stepping up offensively in Game 2 was certainly a nice surprise.
