Sportsnet released their latest trade candidates list, and three Flyers made the cut.

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports - 3 Flyers Listed As Trade Candidates By Sportsnet

The 2024 NHL Trade Deadline is less than two months away (March 8), and trade talk around the league is picking up. While the Philadelphia Flyers are still in the playoff hunt, they are expected to be sellers, as they are rebuilding.

Due to this, Sportsnet's latest trade candidates board listed three Flyers players. Let's discuss each player now.

    Morgan Frost

Morgan Frost was the first player mentioned by Sportsnet, and it's not particularly surprising. He has been in the rumor mill since the offseason, and he has been scratched multiple times by John Tortorella this season. Due to this, a change of scenery may be beneficial for the former first-round pick.

Frost, 24, has appeared in 29 games this season, where he has six goals and 13 points. Overall, it has been a down season for him offensively, as he posted a career-high 46 points in 81 games just last season. However, when noting that he is still young, some clubs could be willing to take a chance on him.

    Nick Seeler

Nick Seeler is another Flyer who Sportsnet believes could be moved this season. It is understandable, as he is a 31-year-old pending unrestricted free agent (UFA) who is having an excellent season. With that, he has an easily affordable $775,000 cap hit, so that only increases his trade value.

Seeler has been the Flyers' top shutdown defenseman this season. In 40 games, he has seven assists, 57 hits, and a plus-13 rating. He has worked nicely in Philadelphia's top four and on their penalty kill, so he should have several suitors at the deadline.

    Sean Walker

Sean Walker was the final player named a trade candidate by Sportsnet. Walker has picked up a lot of chatter in the rumor mill this season. Like Seeler, he is a pending UFA having a strong season on the Flyers' second pairing, so it is understandable.

In 40 games this season, Walker has four goals, 13 points, and a plus-5 rating. While his offensive numbers have dropped off a bit since the start of the season, he has still been strong defensively. Because of this, he is viewed as one of the top right-shot defensemen in the trade market right now. As a result, teams will be calling about him.
