Kyle Ross-USA TODAY Sports - Flyers announce 2023-24 regular-season schedule

One day before the 2023 NHL Entry Draft and hours after trading Kevin Hayes to the St. Louis Blues, the Philadelphia Flyers have announced their full schedule for the 2023-24 regular season.

The Flyers will open their season on the road on Thursday, October 12 against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena, followed by a tilt against Claude Giroux and the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, October 14.

The Flyers’ home opener is set for Tuesday, October 17, when they take on the Vancouver Canucks at Wells Fargo Center.

They’ll wrap up their season at home against the Washington Capitals on April 16, 2024.

It’s been known that the Flyers will take on the New Jersey Devils in a Stadium Series showdown at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on February 17, 2024, but now the start time has been revealed — 8 p.m. ET. The Flyers will serve as the road team for the outdoor matchup.

Last season, many fans were disappointed that the Flyers only faced off against the Pittsburgh Penguins, their cross-state rival, three times. In 2023-24, they’ll square off four times. Their first meeting is set for Saturday, December 2 at PPG Paints Arena. They’ll meet again in Philadelphia two days later.

After enduring 15 (!) back-to-back sets last season, the Flyers will only have to bear 12 back-to-backs during the 2023-24 campaign. They also won’t have to do too much traveling at once. They won’t play more than four road games in a row all season long, but it should be noted that their longest homestands of the season are also just four games long.
