This Flyers defenseman is heating up in a major way this postseason.
Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen has been a surprise this postseason when it comes to his offensive production. In five playoff games for the Flyers so far, the 6-foot-4 defenseman has scored one goal and leads all Flyers with four assists and five points. With this, Ristolainen has been making a nice impact with the Flyers early on this postseason.
While the Flyers lost in Game 5 to the Penguins, Ristolainen did his job during the contest. The big Flyers blueliner recorded two primary assists on both of the Flyers' second-period goals in that contest.
The Flyers will be hoping that Ristolainen can continue to stay for them as the postseason rolls on. If he can continue to produce decent offense from the point while being steady defensively and playing with an edge, it would help the Flyers' chances of knocking out the Penguins in the first round.
It will now be interesting to see how much of an impact Ristolainen can make in a big Game 6 for the Flyers from here.
