This Flyers defenseman won't be playing at the 4 Nations Face-Off.

Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen has not played since the club's Feb. 2 matchup against the Colorado Avalanche due to an upper-body injury.

Now, Ristolainen's injury will prevent him from representing Finland at the 4 Nations Face-Off, as he has officially been ruled out for the tournament.

Ristolainen is only the latest Finnish defenseman forced to sit out the tournament after making the team. Miro Heiskanen (Dallas Stars) and Jani Hakanpaa (Toronto Maple Leafs) have also both been ruled out.

Ottawa Senators defenseman Nikolas Matinpalo has been named Ristolainen's replacement for Finland. The 6-foot-3 defenseman has appeared in 18 games this season with the Sens, posting zero points, eight hits, and 10 blocks.
