The Flyers should strongly consider taking a chance on this Kraken forward.

The Philadelphia Flyers will be a team to watch closely this off-season. After taking a nice step in the right direction this season, it would not be surprising in the slightest if they look to add to their roster during the summer.

When looking at the Flyers' roster, one specific area that they need to improve is at the center position. One trade candidate who could be a good fit on the Flyers is Seattle Kraken center Shane Wright.

Wright has had trouble breaking out at the NHL level with the Kraken. Yet, when noting that Wright has a ton of potential and is still only 22 years old, it would make a lot of sense for the Flyers to try to land him. A fresh start with the Flyers could help Wright hit a new level, just like it did with Trevor Zegras this season.

Wright appeared in 74 games this season with the Kraken, where he had 12 goals, 15 assists, and 27 points. This is after he set career highs with 19 goals, 25 assists, and 44 points in 79 games with the Kraken during the 2024-25 season. With this, he has shown offensive promise in the past, and the Flyers should consider taking a chance on him because of it.

If Wright tapped into his potential more after a move to the Flyers, he could become a nice long-term part of their top six. With this, he is among the players who Philly should have on their radar this off-season.
