This Flyers forward is continuing to improve each season.
Philadelphia Flyers forward Noah Cates signed a four-year, $16 million contract extension back in June of this past year. It was understandable, as he set a then-career-high with 16 goals and recorded 37 points in 78 games.
Yet, as solid as Cates played this past season, he has been even better for the Flyers in 2025-26. In 80 games this season with the Flyers, Cates has set new career highs with 18 goals, 28 assists, and 46 points. He has also thrown a career-high 99 hits and has a plus-25 rating this campaign. With this, there is no question that he has taken his game to a new level this season for Philly.
With how well Cates has played this season for the Flyers, it is clear that he has played a role in Philadelphia having a great chance of making the playoffs this year. This is especially so when noting that he has been staying hot for the Flyers, as he had a goal and three points in their most recent game against the Detroit Red Wings on April 11.
With all of this, there is no question that Cates has had himself a very good year for the Flyers. It will be interesting to see how he finishes it off from here.
