Could the Flyers select these two forwards with their first two picks of the 2026 NHL Entry Draft?
The Athletic's Corey Pronman and Scott Wheeler released their latest 2026 NHL Mock Draft. In it, they predicted all the picks of the first two rounds.
When it came to the Flyers, The Athletic had Philadelphia selecting left wing Adam Novotny in the first round and center Egor Shilov in the second round.
Novotny just played his first season in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Peterborough Petes. In 58 games with the Petes, the 6-foot-1 winger recorded 34 goals, 31 assists, and 65 points. Overall, the Czech forward showed promise this season with the Petes and could be a good prospect for the Flyers to add to their system.
As for Shilov, the skilled center recorded 32 goals, 50 assists, and 82 points in 63 games this season with the Victoriaville Tigers of the QMJHL. With the Flyers needing help at center, it would make sense if they considered selecting him in the second round.
While the Flyers ended up making the playoffs this year, they are still a team focused on the future and will be looking to find gems with their first-round and second-round picks this year. It will be interesting to see if they end up taking Novotny and Shilov this summer from here.
