The Flyers' decision to sign Noel Acciari could end up benefiting them nicely.

The Philadelphia Flyers have made a handful of moves so far this off-season. Among them was signing forward Noel Acciari to a two-year, $5.6 million contract ($2.8 million AAV).

While Acciari may not be the flashiest of players, he has the potential to be a strong addition to the Flyers' roster. The 34-year-old is the kind of hard-nosed two-way forward that is always good for playoff teams to have on their rosters.

Acciari is coming off a solid season with the Penguins, where he recorded 13 goals, 12 assists, 25 points, and a plus-14 rating in 67. He also won 52% of his faceoffs, which marked the sixth season in a row that he won at least half of his faceoffs.

With numbers like these, Acciari should be a solid addition to the Flyers' fourth line as they look to take another step in the right direction in 2026-27. He should also provide the Flyers' roster more bite, as he has had over 100 hits in three out of his last four seasons. This included in 2022-23 when he finished the campaign with a career-high 244 hits.

Acciari also has a good amount of playoff experience, as he has played in 71 career post-season games. This aspect of Acciario only adds to his appeal, and it will be interesting to see how much of an impact he can make for the Flyers next season from here.
