The Flyers' decision to bring in this former Canadiens forward has paid off.

During this past offseason, the Philadelphia Flyers signed forward Christian Dvorak to a one-year, $5.4 million contract. This was after he had 12 goals and 33 points in 82 games with the Montreal Canadiens during the 2024-25 season.

The Flyers' decision to sign Dvorak has certainly proven to be a good one, as the 30-year-old forward has been an excellent fit in Philly. In fact, the 2014 second-round pick has been putting together the best season of his NHL career so far in 2025-26.

In 68 games this season with the Flyers, Dvorak has scored 14 goals and has set new career highs with 27 assists and 41 points. With numbers like these, he has been a very solid part of the Flyers' forward group and has given them good value in the process.

Dvorak's strong play has also allowed him to receive big opportunities with the Flyers. He has played on their first line, power play, and penalty kill. Because of this, he has emerged as a very important part of the Flyers' roster this season. It is also what helped him land a five-year, $25.75 million contract extension earlier this season.

Overall, Dvorak has certainly been a nice pickup for the Flyers this season. It will be interesting to see how he builds on his strong season from here.
