The Flyers' fuzzy mascot got some ink.

Gritty, the Philadelphia Flyers' enormous, fuzzy beast of a mascot, has become the embodiment of chaos and mayhem since its debut in 2018. And with less than a month before the Flyers' first preseason game, the orange monstrosity will apparently be going into the new campaign with a new look — barring some laser tattoo removal.

That's right. Gritty got a tattoo.

There's only one problem — the tattoo is misspelled. Because why wouldn't it be?

    Everyone, say hello to Girthy.

It should be noted that Gritty has indeed changed its name on Twitter (or X, if that's what we're calling it now) to Girthy, which is simply magnificent.

Tattoos are sometimes (and wrongfully) frowned upon in the workplace, but Gritty's is nothing short of a modern artistic masterpiece. The hot dog-addicted Muppet should wear it with pride around Wells Fargo Center until the universe ceases to exist.

    Dave Navarro would approve.
