In their very last game of the 2026 preseason slate, the mostly full-strength Philadelphia Flyers will host the Washington Capitals at Xfinity Mobile Arena at 5 p.m. on Saturday evening as a final opportunity to build further chemistry before the start of the regular season.
The Flyers are still managing some injuries, as starting goalie Dan Vladar (upper-body) and forward Denver Barkey (lower-body) will be out on Saturday night, but everyone else is accounted for and ready to go.
Goalie Joseph Woll will need to sit out Saturday's contest as a veteran who has already played in two preseason games, which means that No. 3 goalie Aleksei Kolosov will start and play the full contest vs. the Capitals. Carson Bjarnason could be recalled from the AHL Lehigh Valley Phantoms to back up Kolosov for the last preseason game.
Additionally, forward Carl Grundstrom and defenseman Simon Benoit have played their two preseason games, leaving the Flyers' lineup, bar Kolosov and his backup, comprised entirely of the opening night composition.
